Income tax return filing deadline extended to August 31, 2018
The last date for filing income-tax returns this year has been extended to August 5. The original deadline for filing income tax returns for FY 2017-18 (AY 2018-19) was July 31, 2018.
The extension is a welcome relief for a large number of tax payers struggling to meet the deadline in the face of various problems.
